Tadhana Perfume Featured in Vogue Philippines
When Vogue Philippines shines a spotlight on local artistry, it becomes a cultural milestone. This month, Tadhana and our founder-perfumer Shale Albao were proudly featured in the pages of Vogue, celebrating a Filipino Asian fragrance house that tells stories through scent.
The Journey of a Perfumer
Shale’s path to perfumery wasn’t traditional. A chemical engineer by training and founder of a successful industrial chemical distribution company, she later pursued perfumery at ISIPCA in France, one of the world’s most prestigious fragrance schools. Her vision was clear: to bring Filipino identity into global perfumery.
With Tadhana, Shale creates perfumes that blend French technique with Filipino & Asian ingredients. Each fragrance in the Persona Collection — Classy, Lover, Innocent, Rockstar, Scandalous, and Rebel — captures a distinct mood and side of identity, inviting wearers to wear who they are.
Filipino Ingredients, Global Recognition
As Vogue highlighted, Tadhana stands apart by using distinct Filipino inspirations. From calamansi zest and sampaguita florals to scents that recall tropical landscapes and everyday Filipino experiences. These fragrances are more than perfumes; they’re stories bottled for the world to experience.
In 2025, Tadhana also became the first Filipino fragrance brand to exhibit at Grasse Perfume Week in France, marking a historic step for Philippine perfumery on the global stage.
Why This Feature Matters
Being featured in Vogue Philippines affirms what Tadhana has stood for since day one
-
That Filipino perfumery deserves a global audience.
-
That scent can be a powerful way to capture and share culture.
-
That independent brands, fueled by passion and purpose, can stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s best.
Looking Ahead
This milestone is about opening doors for Filipino perfumery as a whole. With every bottle, we aim to remind the world that the Philippines has a fragrance story worth telling.
As Shale shared with Vogue: Perfume is memory, identity, and artistry combined. And with Tadhana, those memories are proudly Filipino.
